get_xy_from_source_table

lsst.analysis.ap.get_xy_from_source_table(table, wcs, degrees=None)

Convert ra/dec coordinates in an astropy table/pandas data frame to pixel x/y positions.

Parameters

tableastropy.table.Table or pandas.DataFrame

Sources with ra/dec (degrees) or coord_ra/coord_dec (radians) columns.

wcslsst.images.SkyProjection or lsst.afw.geom.SkyWcs

Transform from sky to pixel coordinates.

degreesbool, optional

Whether the coordinates are in degrees; inferred from the column names if not given.

Returns

xyastropy.table.Table

Pixel positions, in columns x and y.
